About Singer Island

A pristine barrier island paradise where luxury high-rises, world-class diving, and nearly five miles of white sand beach deliver the ultimate South Florida waterfront lifestyle

Singer Island is a stunning barrier island peninsula on the Atlantic coast of northern Palm Beach County, offering one of the most coveted coastal lifestyles in all of South Florida. Named after Paris Singer — son of the Singer Sewing Machine magnate — the island stretches just a few miles long and half a mile wide, yet packs nearly five miles of pristine white sand beach consistently ranked among the top in Palm Beach County.

Most of Singer Island falls within the city of Riviera Beach, with the charming town of Palm Beach Shores occupying its southern tip. The real estate landscape is defined by luxury oceanfront high-rise condominiums — from the iconic 42-story Tiara to the ultra-premium Ritz Carlton Residences and Amrit Ocean Resort — alongside Intracoastal waterfront residences and a limited selection of single-family homes on tree-lined streets.

The island is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Lake Worth Lagoon and Intracoastal Waterway to the west, making it a true boater's and water sports enthusiast's dream. John D. MacArthur Beach State Park — the only state park in Palm Beach County — anchors the northern end of the island with two miles of unspoiled beach, mangrove nature trails, and kayak launches. The legendary Blue Heron Bridge dive site, recognized as one of the best shore dives in the world, sits just off the island's western shore.

Despite its resort-like atmosphere, Singer Island is only three miles from North Palm Beach, five miles from West Palm Beach, and minutes from Palm Beach Gardens' premier shopping and dining — offering seclusion and convenience in equal measure.

Lifestyle & amenities

Living in Singer Island.

Walking & Biking

Singer Island's compact, linear layout makes it surprisingly walkable for a barrier island community. Ocean Drive and Blue Heron Boulevard serve as the main arteries, with oceanfront sidewalks and paths connecting condo communities to beaches, restaurants, and parks. Many residents walk or bike to the beach daily — a genuine luxury of island living.

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park offers boardwalk nature trails winding through mangrove forests and coastal hammock, perfect for walking, birdwatching, and nature photography before opening onto a pristine, uncrowded beach. The park's trails are among the most scenic walking experiences in Palm Beach County.

Cyclists enjoy flat, scenic rides along the island's main roads, with connecting routes across the Blue Heron Bridge to the mainland and north to Juno Beach via A1A. Phil Foster Park on the island's western side provides waterfront walking paths with views of the Intracoastal. The island's small footprint means most daily needs — beach, dining, and recreation — are within a short walk or bike ride from nearly any residence.

Parks, Beaches & Recreation

Singer Island is a paradise for outdoor and water recreation. The beaches are the main attraction — nearly five miles of wide, white sand fronting the Atlantic, with public access points including Ocean Reef Park (featuring a 700-foot beach, playground, picnic areas, and lush tropical surroundings ideal for families) and the spectacular beaches within John D. MacArthur Beach State Park (swimming, surfing, shelling, snorkeling, scuba diving, paddleboarding, kayak and paddleboard rentals, nature trails, a playground, and guided educational programs).

Phil Foster Park, located beneath the Blue Heron Bridge on the island's west side, is home to one of the world's top-rated shore dive and snorkel sites — the Phil Foster Park Underwater Snorkel Trail features thriving reefs, sunken sculptures, historic wrecks, sea turtles, and tropical fish in crystal-clear shallow water. The Riviera Beach Marina Village on the mainland side provides boat charters, deep-sea fishing excursions into the Gulf Stream (legendary for sailfish, marlin, and other game fish), jet ski rentals, kayak tours, and water taxi service to Peanut Island — a nearby island offering camping, snorkeling, and the historic JFK Bunker.

Manatee Lagoon, just across the bridge, offers free admission to observe manatees in the warm water outflows during winter months. For land-based recreation, Rapids Water Park — South Florida's largest — is a short drive on the mainland.

Shopping & Dining

Singer Island's dining scene is intimate and waterfront-focused, with a curated mix of casual and upscale options. The Waterway Cafe is a beloved institution — over 30 years of fresh seafood with stunning Intracoastal views. Sailfish Marina's waterfront restaurants offer dockside dining with marina views and a weekly Sunset Celebration featuring local artists, live music, and food vendors. Rafiki-Tiki at the Riviera Beach Marina Village serves Floribbean cuisine with tropical waterfront ambiance. The island's resort properties — including the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island and Amrit Ocean Resort — feature upscale dining open to the public.

For everyday needs, small shops and convenience stores dot the island along Blue Heron Boulevard and Ocean Drive, covering beachwear, marine supplies, and essentials. For serious shopping, the mainland delivers in minutes: The Gardens Mall and Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens (five miles west) offer Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and 160+ specialty stores. West Palm Beach's Clematis Street and Rosemary Square are a quick 15-minute drive south for boutiques, galleries, and chef-driven dining. The combination of island simplicity and mainland abundance gives Singer Island residents the best of both worlds.

Nightlife & Entertainment

Singer Island offers a laid-back, resort-style evening scene perfectly suited to its beach community character. Sailfish Marina's Sunset Celebration is a weekly highlight, blending local art, live music, and waterfront cocktails as the sun dips below the Intracoastal. Rafiki-Tiki delivers tropical vibes with live entertainment and island-inspired drinks at the marina. The island's resort bars and lounges — particularly at the Marriott and Amrit — provide upscale settings for evening cocktails with ocean views.

For those seeking more action, the mainland delivers quickly. Riviera Beach Marina Village hosts events and live music throughout the year. West Palm Beach is just 15 minutes south, offering the full spectrum of nightlife along Clematis Street (live music, craft cocktails, dance clubs, rooftop lounges), Rosemary Square (outdoor dining and entertainment), Respectable Street (legendary live music venue), and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts (Broadway, symphony, ballet, touring concerts). The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is a short drive north for Broadway-caliber productions.

Singer Island's lifestyle philosophy is clear: unwind on the island, and venture to the mainland when you're ready for a night out — the best of Palm Beach County's entertainment is never more than a few minutes away.
